80th Birthdays

This weekend, we went to Thomasville to celebrate Grandma Ina and Grandpa Wally's 80th birthdays. We had a fun time seeing them visit us all the way from St. Louis. We also enjoyed Grandma and Pa, and our cousins. All in all... it was a weekend of swimming, cake, fun, and fellowship!

Water Valley, MS

Recently, we were able to go to Water Valley, MS to see Allan's family. We had a great time at the Water Valley Watermelon Carnival and the street dance, including seeing a lot of family we don't get to see very often. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Daddy's Girl

The question is this... which one is Daddy's Little Girl???

Haircuts

Abigail and I got new haircuts today... short ones for the hot weather! Here is a picture. Hers ended up even cuter once she had a bath. Of course, I think she is cute no matter what her hair looks like!

The Dress

I worked VERY hard to make my first (what is supposed to be simple) pillowcase dress for Abigail. Here is the final result. You can't really see the bottom very well, but it makes it much cuter. And, I decided to go with a one shoulder bow so I wouldn't be tying bows all the time when she wears it. After making a diaper bag this week and this... I am officially on a sewing break! I need to get my dining room back to an eating place.

Lunch at the Park

A.J. already found HIS version of the perfect lunchbox for 2nd grade... Star Wars Clone Wars. It would not be my pick, but I am trying to let somethings go! So, to celebrate his new lunchbox, he wanted to go on a picnic. We invited his friend, Jack, and Barbie and her kids, Anna and Josh. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Abigail tends to get overheated easily... she was using the cold back out of my lunchbox to cool down the back of her neck. I thought that was a pretty creative idea.
Jack, A.J., and Josh were all playing hard enough to get a little red and sweaty. In my opinion, it is good for them!
Not sure what Anna ate or drank, but obviously... it was blue!
I always have to promise A.J. I will take a light saber picture if he will smile for "real" pictures, too! My son, the Jedi... a mom couldn't be more proud!

Marannook

Camp Marannook is officially over for A.J. this year. He had a GREAT time! He attended day camp with his good friend, Jack. They had a great time doing all of the fun activities together.
We were able to go on the last night for Family Night. I was glad I was able to get a few pictures to keep as memories of his first camp experience!
This is Spencer, his counselor for the week.
Mr. Charles and his wife, Mrs. Barbara, are the founders and the leaders of the camp.
Here are a few clips of the songs they sang for Family Night.
