Abigail is Dancing

Abigail has now started ballet. She loves it already and has only been two weeks. Here are some pictures of her at my work, when Allan brought her to me to dress her for rehearsal. I think he was scared of trying to put all the layers on correctly!!!

Abigail's 1st Day

This week was Abigail's first day returning to preschool. She is now in 4 year old Pre-K and is really wishing she was starting Kindergarten. I am glad she is still home half a day! Here are some pictures from the day. Sorry about the fuzzy first ones... the humidity was making my lens fog up.

The bottom picture is Abigail with the preschool director, Mrs. Emmy (who she LOVES). She gets very upset with us if we aren't early enough to school to hear her say, "Good morning boys and girls!"

I've Gone and Done It!

I have done something I said I would never do.... A.J. now rides the school bus. Having taught school, I swore not to put my child on one, but it is a necessity that is working out perfectly. We still take A.J. in the mornings, but in the afternoons he comes straight to us, and the drop him RIGHT in front of my house... can't get better than that. So, when the baby comes in the winter time, I won't be having to wake up Abigail and baby to go get him in the cold. I am rather happy about the way it is working out.
My favorite part is watching Abigail wait for her brother (on the days she isn't taking a nap when he arrives home). On this day, she was throwing the ball with Ruby while she waited.

2nd Grade Starts

A.J. started 2nd grade on Monday. He is still at Jeter Primary, and he loves his school. His teacher this year is Ms. Barnes. And, as it turns out, I am pretty sure this is the 4th year in a row of starting school in plaid shirts and a polo. I must get more creative!

A.J.'s Re-birthday

On August 3, we celebrated A.J.'s 1st "Re-birthday." One year ago, he asked Jesus into his life and became a Christian. We had peanut butter cake to celebrate! Josh and Ashley (with Emma Grace, of course) came over to celebrate with us. He was an excited birthday boy!

80th Birthdays

This weekend, we went to Thomasville to celebrate Grandma Ina and Grandpa Wally's 80th birthdays. We had a fun time seeing them visit us all the way from St. Louis. We also enjoyed Grandma and Pa, and our cousins. All in all... it was a weekend of swimming, cake, fun, and fellowship!

Water Valley, MS

Recently, we were able to go to Water Valley, MS to see Allan's family. We had a great time at the Water Valley Watermelon Carnival and the street dance, including seeing a lot of family we don't get to see very often. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Daddy's Girl

The question is this... which one is Daddy's Little Girl???
