Update in Pictures

Since I have been posting many pictures lately, I thought I would give some picture updates. First, we had my birthday. I told Allan I wanted a Monkey Bread for breakfast. He went above and beyond the call! He put those pre-made sugar letters on top to spell "Happy Birthday." He made me a card and both kids made a card. And, he bought me a 12-pack of my favorite drink (Yes, I realize I should not be drinking caffeine while pregnant. However, it causes low birth weight. I drank it with Abigail, and she was 9 lbs. 4 oz. I think we'll be okay). All of this was done before I even woke up that morning! I have a wonderful husband!
We are STILL working on our new room, but at least now we are to the painting part. The kids were begging to paint, so we let them. What could go wrong? We are painting on concrete that is going to be covered with carpet! However, Allan did have them strip down to their underwear. What can I say? Just be thankful Allan isn't in his underwear in the pictures. Seriously!
This morning, the kids have decided to be best friends all day. (Yes, they have actually made the verbal agreement.... we'll see if it lasts!). To start with, they played football. Right now, they are in the back room playing house. So, I guess they each got to pick one activity. I love it when they are so sweet to each other!

Update on Abigail

I know my blog has been a little boring lately with no cute pictures of the kids, but I guess that is just our lives here the past few weeks!!

The pediatrician called today with Abigail's EEG results, and everything is perfectly normal! We are very thankful. Although it doesn't tell us why she has had some seizures, it does tell us she is doing great. She is going to stay on the medication for 2 years, will have another EEG, and then will be weaned off the medicine. Please continue to keep her in your prayers, as we believe God will protect her!

Allan's Ear

I just wanted to thank all of you who have been praying for Allan. If you haven't heard, he was hit in the side of the head with a softball on Tuesday. His ear is pretty bummed up, and he broke the mastoid bone behind the ear. Today, he went to the ENT, because that bone is a sinus cavity, and he has some nerve damage and hearing loss. We aren't sure if it is permanent or how bad it is. He also has some blood build up behind the ear drum. He is on lots of meds to get it all straightened out, but he isn't feeling too well. However, he is still stubborn enough to keep going to work! Please keep him in your prayers. He goes back next week to the doctor, and we will know more then.

Abigail's Year End Program

Last week, Abigail had her end of year program at school. All of the age groups sang, and of course, they were all very precious. Here are a few picture of Abigail's group, and of course some video clips. Two videos are compilations of photos the director, Emmy, put together for each age group. They are wonderful!

In this video, Abigail is getting her certificate for completing the 3 year old program. She was supposed to hug her teachers after she gets the paper from Mrs. Emmy, but you will see she forgot. Her teachers were Mrs. Karen and Ms. Susan, who we loved VERY much!

Abigail's Tumbling Exhibition

This year at preschool, Abigail was able to stay on Mondays for a tumbling class that comes to her preschool. Abigail has loved "Head Over Heels" and Ms. Shelley. This past week, she had her end of year exhibition. She was very proud to show off what she has been learning.

Rose Show

I know I have been very slow to update. We have had an overwhelming few weeks at our house, and we are trying to get back on track this week!

A few weekends ago, the kids and I went home for Rose Show. A.J. has LOVED marching bands since he was old enough to march himself. He still sleeps to band music (Auburn, of course) and can "play" all the songs. We enjoyed our time at the parade. Sorry.... this is the best picture I could get!

Update on Abigail

We are still waiting for the doctor's report on Abigail's EEG, but I did want you to know she is feeling much more like herself. She is sort of starting to get used to taking the medicine, and she has regained her balance again! We go to the doctor on Wednesday, and I am sure we will have a ton of questions for her then. Thank you for all your prayers and support!
