Haircuts

Abigail and I got new haircuts today... short ones for the hot weather! Here is a picture. Hers ended up even cuter once she had a bath. Of course, I think she is cute no matter what her hair looks like!

The Dress

I worked VERY hard to make my first (what is supposed to be simple) pillowcase dress for Abigail. Here is the final result. You can't really see the bottom very well, but it makes it much cuter. And, I decided to go with a one shoulder bow so I wouldn't be tying bows all the time when she wears it. After making a diaper bag this week and this... I am officially on a sewing break! I need to get my dining room back to an eating place.

Lunch at the Park

A.J. already found HIS version of the perfect lunchbox for 2nd grade... Star Wars Clone Wars. It would not be my pick, but I am trying to let somethings go! So, to celebrate his new lunchbox, he wanted to go on a picnic. We invited his friend, Jack, and Barbie and her kids, Anna and Josh. Here are a few pictures from the day.

Abigail tends to get overheated easily... she was using the cold back out of my lunchbox to cool down the back of her neck. I thought that was a pretty creative idea.
Jack, A.J., and Josh were all playing hard enough to get a little red and sweaty. In my opinion, it is good for them!
Not sure what Anna ate or drank, but obviously... it was blue!
I always have to promise A.J. I will take a light saber picture if he will smile for "real" pictures, too! My son, the Jedi... a mom couldn't be more proud!

Marannook

Camp Marannook is officially over for A.J. this year. He had a GREAT time! He attended day camp with his good friend, Jack. They had a great time doing all of the fun activities together.
We were able to go on the last night for Family Night. I was glad I was able to get a few pictures to keep as memories of his first camp experience!
This is Spencer, his counselor for the week.
Mr. Charles and his wife, Mrs. Barbara, are the founders and the leaders of the camp.
Here are a few clips of the songs they sang for Family Night.

IT IS A...

Did you really think I was going to be weak and give in to find out the gender when I said we weren't??? Well, I wasn't! Here is a picture of the baby, but sorry to all of you who can't wait... the baby's gender won't be announced until he or she arrives. We are keeping our names a secret, too. Just think about what a great Christmas present it will be to all of us! (And, no, we don't know either).

Narcoleptic Strikes Again

The narcoleptic has struck again! If you have read my blog very much, you know Abigail (when she misses her nap) has a habit of falling asleep just about anywhere. In past posts, I have put up pictures of her sleeping on the kitchen table and in the computer chair. Once again, when left alone with Daddy... she falls asleep in an odd place... the laundry basket! At least there was a pillow in it.

Word Up

Yes, you read the title right... Word Up! Now, for all of us who still can sing songs from the 90's, you are already singing, "raise your hands in the air like you don't care!" However, at my house, it is a marching band song originally played by Auburn's marching band and recreated by A.J.! For me to hum the tune, I am singing the words in my head. However, he has never heard the words, and instead has memorized the tune. Amazing to me.

While watching YouTube, he found a video of the AU marching band performing Word Up. Here is his version (and if you are wondering where he got the dance moves, the original version is on here, too). He does pretty good if you ask me!

Thomasville Vacation

We spent about 5 days in Thomasville last week for a hometown vacation. First, we spent one evening at Summer's house for Brennan's 7th birthday.
On Thursday, we spent the hottest day in the world at Wild Adventures (not fun for a pregnant woman). Here are some pictures from the morning in the amusement park side. Sorry... I didn't take any pictures in the water park.
Then, like years past, we enjoyed 4th of July fireworks in the Publix parking lot!
